The times they are a-changing
I thought there might be more to that teddy bear than met the eye. So a little looking around led to the idea that the Chinese role in Sudan might be significant, which led me to look at China Daily. The pic is part of their website – and it surely is a weird conjunction.

Now that hammer and sickle I know all about. Karl Marx, the Communist Manifesto of 1848, the hammer for the workers in the factories and the sickle for those working on the land , OK. And placing that next to the link to the Party Congress looks very appropriate.
But flying to the Moon? Well, the Soviet Union had ambitions for that during the Cold War – or perhaps we should now call it Cold War I. See what I mean?
And the link to the Stock Market? Now that is really scary.
Teddy Bear named Jesus! God terribly annoyed!
Patty, a four-year old girl living in Scunthorpe, has named her teddy bear Jesus. It seems like God is outraged. He told our religious affairs correspondent, in that irritating whiny voice he uses when he’s sulking:
“I’m really offended by this. She didn’t check it out with me first or anything.”
Later reports indicate that Patty is to be publicly flogged, and God is said to have expressed satisfaction.
News flash – following the efforts of Christian peers, the Queen has just announced that Patty is to be freed.
“You guys just don’t get it..” muttered God under his breath.
